Research Interests
I am interested in the ways why plant species can coexist in plant communities, including the tropical rain forests and temperate forests. I would like to understand the high diversity in the forests, its causes, and its consequences, and the plant-animal interactions. One major focus of my current research is seed dispersal. I try to look at seed dispersal and the importance of recruitment limitation in maintaining tree diversity in a subtropical evergreen broadleaved forest in Gutianshan24ha permanent plot (GTS). I am still interested in seed bank, seed predation, seedling dynamics, and plant functional traits.
